Awards Ceremony

JohnsonAward.pngThe LPWV is excited to hold our first Awards and Recognition Ceremony at this years convention. This is our opportunity to recognize the individuals who have gone above and beyond to advance the Libertarian Party in West Virginia. 

We are introducing the Dr. Wallace Johnson Flame of Liberty Award! This award is being presented to any Gubernatorial Candidate that achieves, or maintains, Major Party Status for the Libertarian Party in West Virginia. This award is in the memory of Dr. Wallace Johnson, the first Libertarian Gubernatorial Candidate to meet the statutory requirements to gain Major Party status for the Libertarian Party in the Mountain State!

  


Luncheon Menu and Refreshments 

This years convention will feature a complimentary full beverage station and light refreshments throughout the day. 

The LPWV Awards Ceremony will feature a fully catered lunch buffet, provided by the Distinctive Gourmet.

MORNING

In addition to the luncheon, the morning will provide fresh brewed coffee, decaffeinated coffee, domestic teas, lemonade and chilled orange and apple juice along with an assortment of breakfast pastries and fresh fruit platters.

LUNCH

The Chef is preparing pot roast and grilled chicken to be served as the entrees for this years event. The buffet style luncheon will also include a salad choice, three sides, hot rolls, dessert and all the accompaniments. 

AFTERNOON

Coffee, Teas and Water will be available throughout the afternoon sessions.  

SOCIAL  

We are planning a cocktail bar for the final hour of the convention to celebrate with the nominated candidates. This is currently scheduled to be a cash bar with one complimentary beverage served to each guest. 

 

The Distinctive Gourmet is a division of Boston Culinary Group, for the past 30 years they have provided catering services to the finest convention centers, performing arts theaters, resorts and restaurants across the country.
